Free Kinder
Research shows starting a quality kindergarten program leads to positive outcomes on a child’s learning and development. Kindergarten provides a nurturing environment for children to acquire skills, become more
independent, and build on their sense of belonging.
The Starting Age Calculator is available on the Department of Education’s website; enter your
child’s birth date to find out what year they can start Three- and Four-Year-Old Kindergarten.
Three-Year-Old Kindergarten
Wilson Street Kindergarten will be providing a free program of 15 hours per week (Lilly Pilly Group). Alternatively, Wattle group is available. Please visit our session times for further details.
Four-Year-Old Kindergarten
Wilson Street Kindergarten will be providing a free program of 15 hours each week (Blue Gum Group), with the additional option of the non-funded bush kinder program. Alternatively, Waratah group is available. Please visit our session times for further details.

Wilson Street Kindergarten will be providing a Pre-Prep program for children from a priority cohort (maximum of 22.5 hours per week).
